T.B.I. ASSISTS DUNLAP POLICE IN ‘OPERATION SEQUATCHIE SWEEP’

From the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation:
Members of the TBI Sex Offender Registry Unit assisted the Dunlap Police Department and the United States Marshals Service in a sex offender compliance operation this week, named “Operation Sequatchie Sweep.”
The two-day operation began on August 26th. Law enforcement teams conducted compliance checks on 25 registered sex offenders. Of those, 22 were in compliance. Three were non-compliant and arrested on charges related to being in violation of the sex offender registry.
Sex offender registry compliance check operations like this one are conducted periodically in various counties across the state.
