From the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation:

Members of the TBI Sex Offender Registry Unit assisted the Fentress County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Marshals Service in a sex offender compliance operation this week, named “Operation Summer Check”.

The two-day operation began on August 11th. Law enforcement teams conducted compliance checks on 41 registered sex offenders. Of those, 31 were in compliance. Ten were non-compliant and arrested on charges related to being in violation of the sex offender registry.

Sex offender registry compliance check operations like this one are conducted periodically in various counties across the state.
