T.V.A. TRANSPARENCY ACT AWAITS SENATE VOTE

As reported by WVLT, Congressman Tim Burchett’s “Tennessee Valley Authority Transparency Act of 2025” passed the House, aiming to increase transparency in the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). The bill mandates at least one week’s notice for TVA board meetings and requires meeting information to be posted on a public website, aligning with the TVA Act of 1933.
Exceptions allow closed meetings for personnel or competitive matters. Burchett emphasized accountability, while TVA noted that many meetings are already public, with agendas published a week in advance and livestreamed.
The bill now awaits a Senate vote.
