TBI ASSISTS LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT IN OVERTON WITH “OPERATION HOG EYE”
From the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation:
Members of the TBI Sex Offender Registry Unit assisted the
Overton County Sheriff’s Department, along with the Livingston Police Department, TN Department of Homeland Security, and the United States Marshals Service, in a sex offender compliance operation this week, named “Operation Hog Eye”.
There were 24 offenders who were contacted, and 18 of those were determined to be compliant. Three were non-compliant, and were arrested. There will be further investigation of three others.
Sex offender registry compliance check operations such as these are conducted periodically in various counties across the state. TBI assisted in 11 such operations in 2024, and the Overton County compliance check is the third so far this year.
