At the request of Ninth District Attorney General Russell Johnson, the TBI is investigating an incident involving a man bitten by a Morgan County Sheriff’s Office K-9 recently near Wartburg. Officers arrested 54-year-old Brian Marshall Kennedy of Wartburg for DUI, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia. Kennedy was involved in an accident and reportedly tried to force his way into a residence. The K-9 tracked Kennedy to some nearby bushes. Kennedy allegedly struck the K-9 in the head with his fist. The report did not indicate when the K-9 officer bit Kennedy.
