The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is looking into the death of a Rhea County inmate Wednesday morning. 30-year-old Amanda Davis was serving time for public intoxication and possessing drug paraphernalia. Her lifeless body was discovered in her cell. 12^th District Attorney General Mike Taylor has requested the TBI begin the probe into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death. No additional information was available.
