The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Wilson County. Deputies responded to a domestic incident on Benders Ferry Road where a man and woman were heard yelling.

The man barricaded himself inside the home, and after a lengthy standoff, he emerged and allegedly fired at deputies.

Deputies returned fire, killing the man. No deputies were injured, and the man’s identity has not been released.

The TBI is working to determine the events leading to the shooting.
