A Tennessee Most Wanted Alert has been issued by the TBI and the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office for an escaped inmate.

A reward of $2,500 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of 41-year-old William Henry Rutherford.

He was arrested on July 5, 2023, on charges including attempted second-degree murder, aggravated assault, felon in possession of a weapon, and tampering with evidence.

Rutherford, alongside Kenneth Campbell, and Elvis Bush escaped the Sumner County jail Thursday night.

Campbell and Bush were in jail after being arrested for mostly drug charges. Campbell also had a theft and felon in possession of a weapon charge.

Bush was taken back into custody early yesterday morning. Campbell and Rutherford remain on the run.
