TBI RELEASES NAME OF MAN CONNECTED WITH OFFICER-INVOLVED SHOOTING IN KODAK

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has released the name of a man who was shot during an officer-involved shooting in Sevier County over the weekend. Agents say that 41-year-old Timothy McGill remains hospitalized after he was shot by deputies Sunday in Kodak. According to reports, the Sevier County Sheriff’s Dept. received a call from McGill’s wife that the man was threatening to harm himself. Officers arrived at the Joyce Way home where a confrontation resulted in McGill being shot.  No deputies were injured and McGill was transported to UT Medical Center. The TBI is continuing to investigate the incident which is standard protocol.
