TDOT continues construction of a truck climbing lane in the eastbound lanes of I-40 near mile marker 339 in Cumberland County. Construction signs, guardrails, and portable barrier rail have been installed. The contractor has begun grade work in the median behind the portable barrier rails. Motorists are encouraged to slow down, use caution, and be aware of construction personnel in the work zone and equipment that will entering/exiting the roadway. The estimated project completion date is June 2020.
