The Tennessee Department of Transportation will conduct bridge inspections on Interstate 40 tomorrow and Tuesday (Monday, Oct 9. and Tuesday, Oct. 10) in Cumberland County.

Tomorrow (Monday, October 9, 2023) from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., crews will be inspecting the bridge over Drowning Creek at mile marker 316. The right lane of I-40 West will be closed in the morning. The right lane of I-40 East will be closed in the afternoon hours.

Tuesday (October 10, 2023) from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., crews will be inspecting the bridge over the Obed River at mile marker 318. The right lane of I-40 West will be closed in the morning. The right lane of I-40 East will be closed in the afternoon hours.

Motorists should use extreme caution in these areas and prepare for possible delays.
