Motorists in the Upper Cumberland area should be able to get more traffic information now. Tennessee Dept. of Transportation spokesperson Jennifer Flynn says that the Chattanooga TDOT Traffic Management Center is now fully staffed 24/7, which means that the Smartway traffic management center can be updated in a more timely manner. TDOT has four TMCs, one each in Knoxville, Chattanooga, Nashville and Memphis. The Chattanooga TDOT office covers 24 counties, including the majority of the Upper Cumberland.
