TEENAGER RUNS TO HONOR FIRST RESPONDERS WHO PASS AWAY IN THE LINE OF DUTY
The Blount County Sheriff’s Office (BSCO) welcomed Zechariah Cartledge to East Tennessee yesterday at McGhee Tyson Airport. Zechariah is from Florida who runs a mile for every first responder in the country who makes the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. The organization he started, Running 4 Heroes, is a non-profit that raises money for those families these heroes leave behind.
BCSO Deputy Andrew Baumann joined several law enforcement officers from the area to welcome Zechariah. Zechariah will be escorted to Bristol Motor Speedway today where he will run for all of Tennessee’s first responders who’ve made the ultimate sacrifice since 2018.
The Blount County Sheriff’s Department says Zechariah is truly a special young man with a heart of gold.
