TENN. TECH GRADUATE FROM CROSSVILLE LEVERAGES FRIST ART MUSEUM INTERNSHIP INTO FULL-TIME GRAPHIC DESIGN CAREER

Aimee Slagle, a Crossville native and recent Tennessee Tech University double major in art education and graphic design, has successfully transitioned her academic and internship experiences into a full-time career. During her final semester, Slagle balanced two internships, including a prestigious role with the Department of Education and Engagement at Nashville’s Frist Art Museum.

At the Frist, she discovered a passion for interacting individually with museumgoers, helping them explore exhibits, try new techniques, and find personal connections through art history. Her dedication and versatile skills paid off immediately after graduating this spring when she was hired as a full-time graphic designer for Alluvia Studio, a Middle Tennessee-based medtech marketing consultancy, following a promotion from her intern role there.

Highly praised by Kim Winkle, the director of Tech’s School of Art, Craft and Design, for her professionalism and poise, Slagle credits Tennessee Tech’s supportive faculty and vibrant community for her growth and encourages aspiring artists to dedicate themselves and embrace the opportunities the university provides.
