TENNESSEE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH COVID-19 REPORT – FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 2020

The following is from today’s Tennessee Department of Health COVID-19 report:

TENNESSEE – 17,441 active cases (down 537 cases from yesterday) in Tennessee out of 160,597 total cases (up 1,051 cases since yesterday)

  • 143,156 recovered (up 1,588 from yesterday)
  • 1,837 died (up 22 from yesterday)
  • 865 had to be hospitalized (down 32 since yesterday)
  • 2,279,035 tested (up 18,104 since yesterday)

(Deaths in counties are added to the recovered then that total is subtracted from the total cases to get an accurate number of remaining active cases)

ANDERSON – 69 active remaining cases (same as yesterday) out of 920 total cases (up 5 from yesterday), 8 fatalities, 20,424 negative tests

BLEDSOE – 20 active remaining cases (up 3 cases from yesterday) out of 797 total cases (up 3 from yesterday), 4 fatalities, 5,975 negative tests

CUMBERLAND – 227 active remaining cases (up 10 cases from yesterday) out of 970 total cases (up 26 cases from yesterday), 18,195 negative tests, 9 fatalities

FENTRESS – 104 remaining active cases (down 1 case from yesterday) out of 278 total cases (up 8 cases from yesterday), 3,121 negative tests

KNOX – 910 remaining active cases (up 49 cases from yesterday) out of 6,863 total cases (up 127 cases from yesterday), 64 fatalities, 102,294 negative tests

LOUDON – 100 remaining active cases (down 9 cases from yesterday) out of 955 total cases (up 13 cases from yesterday), 4 fatalities, 10,203 negative tests

MCMINN – 107 remaining active cases (down 5 cases from yesterday) out of 840 total cases (up 6 cases from yesterday), 23 fatalities, 12,749 negative tests

MEIGS – 34 remaining active cases (up 1 case from yesterday) out of 171 total cases (up 2 cases from yesterday), 2 fatalities, 2,395 negative tests

MORGAN –  50 remaining active cases (up 6 cases from yesterday) out of 255 total cases (up 7 cases from yesterday), 2 fatalities, 6,687 negative tests

OVERTON – 111 remaining active cases (same as yesterday) out of 519 total cases (up 14 cases from yesterday), 2 fatalities, 5,543 negative tests

PICKETT – 22 active cases (down 1 case from yesterday) out of 73 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 824 negative tests, 1 fatality

PUTNAM – 319 remaining active cases (up 13 cases from yesterday) out of 2,415 total cases (up 31 cases from yesterday), 29 fatalities, 23,661 negative tests

RHEA – 49 remaining active cases (down 6 cases from yesterday) out of 663 total case (same as yesterday), 5 fatalities, 8,283 negative tests

ROANE – 102 active case (up 6 cases from yesterday) out of 669 total cases (up 7 cases from yesterday), 2 fatalities, 14,146 negative tests

WHITE – 155 remaining active case (down 10 cases from yesterday) out of 608 total cases (up 9 cases from yesterday), 7 deaths, 7,177 negative tests

The Tennessee Department of Health says if a total number drops it is because a case was re-classified as another illness instead of COVID-19.
