TENNESSEE ED. COMMISSIONER SAYS “TNREADY” WAS A SUCCESS
Tennessee Education Commissioner Candace McQueen says that the 2017 TNReady tests were a success online and on paper. Over 30,000 students took the tests online with very few issues. Tennessee students completed nearly 200,000 subparts via the online platform in schools across 24 districts, including both urban and rural areas of the state. A total of 600,000 students in grades 3-11 took TNReady over the three-week testing window, and the scoring process has already begun. As a reminder, test scores will factor into student’s grades at a reduced 10 percent weighing this year. High school end-of-course results will be released this summer and individual score reports will be sent to districts.
