TENNESSEE HIGHWAY PATROL: FATAL CRASHES HIGHER THIS YEAR THAN THIS TIME IN 2019

The Tennessee Highway Patrol says fatal vehicle crashes have increased this year over this time last year. So far in 2020, 609 died in accidents in the state (this does not include the fatality in Roane County Sunday and the one in Morgan County this morning). Troopers asks motorists to please help do their part to make sure everyone gets home safe. Always wear your seatbelt, obey the posted speed limits, don’t drive impaired, and never drive distracted. Area law enforcement reports a rise in intoxicated drivers by way of alcohol or drugs. If you suspect a motorist driving under the influence or driving recklessly, call 911 and report their position.
