TENNESSEE LAUNCHES NEW JOB TRAINING PROGRAM IN PARTNERSHIP WITH COUNTY JAILS
The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development (TDLWD) is launching a new program this month to equip justice-involved individuals with job-ready skills prior to their re-entry into communities.
In partnership with more than 30 Tennessee county jails, the initiative offers over 80 hours of training, culminating in a certificate of completion and preparation for industry-recognized credentials that open doors to meaningful career opportunities.
The White County Sheriff’s Office has proudly joined this effort, highlighting that the program—facilitated by its Re-entry/Programming staff at no additional cost to taxpayers—holds transformative potential by fostering sustainable employment, stronger households, and healthier communities.
