TENNESSEE LEGISLATION TO MAKE HOLY BIBLE OFFICIAL STATE BOOK ADVANCES TO SENATE
A proposed resolution to make the Holy Bible the official state book of Tennessee passed the House of Representatives yesterday with a vote of 55-28. It now head to the Senate for their consideration.
State Representative Jerry Sexton says one reason for proposing the bill is families before the 20th century would record vital records in the family Bible which were passed down through generation and have a history which might not be found otherwise.
