TENNESSEE SOLDIER KILLED IN TRAINING EXERCISE TO RETURN HOME TUESDAY
A Tennessee soldier killed in a Black Hawk training exercise will return home on Tuesday. Staff Sgt. Michael Nelson of Antioch, was killed during the night time training exercise on August 15 when the Black Hawk helicopter he was in went down off the coast of Oahu. There were no survivors. Nelson was 30 years old and had served 11 years in the U.S. Army. He leaves behind a wife and daughter and numerous brothers and sisters. The remains of SSG Nelson will arrive at the Nashville International Airport on Tuesday, October 17 at 10:50 a.m.
