MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WTVF) — A substitute teacher was banned from Rutherford County schools for allegedly posting tweets about supporters of President Trump

Rutherford County School officials said they received several messages on February 8 about a substitute teacher allegedly “making inappropriate, threatening comments on social media during the work day,” according to Nashville CBS affiliate WTVF.

David Colin purportedly made statements and posted them in January and on November 9.

“The only good trump [sic] supporter is a dead trump [sic] supporter,” one post read.

In response to a different comment a month later, Colin posted: “Shooting [Trump supporters] sounds more appealing than getting along with them.”

He spoke with NewsChannel 5 and confessed that the comments were a result of the election’s tumultuous aftermath.

Colin also said that, after making a separate political post involving Sen. Bob Corker, a group on Facebook dug up the posts.

Colin’s behavior is under investigation according to the PESG. They said he would not be placed in any schools until the investigation is complete.
