TENNESSEE TECH PREPARING TO DISTRIBUTE $4.4 MILLION TO ELIGIBLE TTU STUDENTS THROUGH CARES ACT

Tennessee Tech University (TTU) students who are eligible will soon receive $4.4 million through the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act. The money will help cover expenses related to their education costs because of the coronavirus, such as housing, course materials, health care and child care. Nearly all of the funds will be distributed automatically to eligible undergraduate and graduate students based on need and enrollment status. The remaining funds will be available to students who apply for additional money because of extraordinary hardship after the automatic distribution is complete. Eligible students will be notified through their student email account prior to funds being distributed. The email will also include more details on the application process for additional funds.
