Charlotte L. Green Hamby, age 77, of Crab Orchard, passed away April 25, 2020. She was born December 10, 1942 in Crab Orchard, the daughter of Chester and Rozelle Thompson Green. She was retired after many years as a department manager at Vanity Fair. She was also a lifelong member of Crab Orchard Church of God of Prophecy. Charlotte was a devoted Christian lady who loved the Lord and serving others. She also enjoyed quilting and cooking for her family, whom she loved dearly. She is survived by Willard Hamby of Hebbertsburg; daughters: Sharon Barnwell (Terry) of Maryville, Tennessee and Darla Pendergrass (Les) of Crossville; brother: Lamarr Green (Faye) of Crab Orchard; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law: Carlene Hamby of Crab Orchard; and sister-in-law: Marcie Green of Crossville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son: Curtis Hamby; and brother: Leamon Green. Private graveside services will be held Friday, May 1, 2020 at Haley’s Grove Cemetery in Crab Orchard. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
