TENNESSEE TO HOLD YEAR-LONG TAX-FREE HOLIDAY FOR GUN SAFETY EQUIPMENT

Tennessee will hold a tax holiday exclusively for firearm safety equipment starting July 1 at midnight and runs through June 2022. Citizens will be able to purchase items like gun safes, locking devices other safety items without paying sales tax.

This follows the enactment of Tennessee’s new permitless carry bill, signed into law by Governor Bill Lee in April, going into effect July 1, 2021.
