TENNESSEE VOTERS FACE MONDAY DEADLINE TO REGISTER FOR NOVEMBER MIDTERMS
Tennessee residents face a final deadline to register to vote on Monday, October 5, ahead of the high-stakes November 3 midterm elections.
With Governor Bill Lee’s term coming to an end, voters across the Volunteer State will elect a new governor, choosing among Republican Marsha Blackburn, Democrat Jerri Green, and several Independent candidates. The statewide ballot also features contests for the U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, Tennessee House and Senate, alongside three proposed amendments to the state constitution.
Local races will be decided across the state as well. In Cumberland County, voters will cast ballots in municipal races for Crossville mayor and city council, Crab Orchard board of aldermen, and Pleasant Hill mayor and town council. Crossville city voters will additionally decide on a water merger referendum.
State election officials urge anyone who has recently moved or is not yet registered to act immediately before Monday’s cutoff.
