THEFT AT CROSSVILLE LOWE’S; SUSPECT IDENTIFIED

Last Friday, Officer Steven McNeal responded to a theft at Lowe’s in Crossville. The store’s AP Manager reported that around 7:04 p.m. on February 20th, two male suspects entered the store. One suspect, identified as Jeremy Lane, a 42-year-old white male from Sparta, Tennessee, selected two Klein flashlights and a Klein knife.
The second, an unidentified suspect, took a Craftsman rechargeable battery pack and concealed it in his pants, later hiding a flashlight and knife provided by Lane in his sweater. Lane concealed another flashlight in his jacket, and the second suspect hid an additional Craftsman battery pack in his pants.
Both suspects exited the store without paying, passing all points of sale, with stolen items valued at $377.94, including two Klein flashlights ($39.98), one Klein electrician pocket knife ($19.98), and two Craftsman V20 20V 6.0AH lithium batteries ($139.00). Video footage of the theft was recorded and submitted as evidence.
Officer McNeal issued warrants for Lane for theft of merchandise at the Cumberland County Justice Center, and placed the video evidence at the Crossville Police Department.
