THP HAS RELEASED DETAILS OF THE FATAL FOUR WHEELER CRASH TUESDAY IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY
According to the THP report a Kawasaki four wheeler driven by 42-year-old Derek Brown was traveling east and a 2008 Town Car driven by 79-year-old William Snow was traveling west on US Highway 70. The four wheeler turned left onto Canyon View Drive in Pleasant Hill into the path of the Town Car. The four-wheeler struck the Town Car in the side at the intersection of Highway 70 and Canyon View Drive. The Town Car then traveled off the right shoulder of the roadway, struck a sign, traveled through a fence, and struck a vehicle parked in a driveway.
The Town Car came to a final rest against a stump in the yard. The four-wheeler came to a final rest in the grass on the left side of the roadway on its right side. The driver of the four-wheeler came to a final rest on the westbound fog line of Highway 70.
Derek Brown died from injuries suffered in the crash. Snow was not injured. Brown was not wearing a helmet and Snow was not wearing a seatbelt according to the THP report.
