THP RELEASES INFORMATION ON HEARSE ACCIDENT IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY

The Tennessee Highway Patrol released information today regarding a vehicle crash on I-40 yesterday in Cumberland County.

The automobile involved was a hearse.

Troopers say the 2007 Cadillac was driven by 65-year-old Ricky D. Anderson.

The report states he was traveling west at the 333-mile marker when another vehicle merged over toward him in a curve.

Anderson took evasive action to prevent a collision and lost control.

The Cadillac ran off the roadway and struck the end of a guard rail.

The impact spun the vehicle clockwise and came to rest.

Anderson was injured in the crash.

The report did not give any further information regarding the accident.
