Trooper Hamby and Trooper Guillebeaux at that time followed the vehicle to receive any additional information, then initiated all emergency equipment to stop the vehicle. Edwards pulled over at mile marker 340 (Airport Road exit) westbound. As the troopers attempted to approach the Mustang, Edwards stepped out of the automobile and then got back in speeding off westbound on I-40.
