More details have been released on the accident at 8:21 Friday night on West Avenue in Crossville when a pedestrian walked in front of a Crossville Patrol Unit. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol preliminary report a  2015 Ford Explorer Patrol Unit, driven by Jordan Winningham, was traveling south in the left lane of Highway 70 at the intersection of West Avenue and Lantana Road.  The THP report states a pedestrian, identified as 69-year-old Jerry Wright of Crossville, ran across the highway into the path of the Patrol Unit which struck the victim who died. No further details have been released.
