THP TROOPER SHOT AT DURING TRAFFIC STOP IN LOUDON COUNTY

A Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper was conducting a traffic stop Saturday when people in a passing vehicle shot at him. The incident took place at the 75 mile marker of Interstate 75 in Loudon County. The trooper, who was not hit, gave chase with multiple other officers in the area joining him. The officers stopped the vehicle at the 77 mile marker, They arresting a male driver and a female passenger. Troopers also found a gun in the car. No one was injured. The names of the two arrested will be released at a later time as this is an active investigation.
