THREAT AT CROSSVILLE WALMART REVEALED TO BE HOAX FROM AN 11-YEAR-OLD
On the night of December 29, 2025, a threatening phone call to the Walmart store in Crossville, Tennessee, claiming someone intended to “shoot up the place” prompted a major law enforcement response, including police, deputies, and other agencies.
Crossville police issued an advisory urging people to avoid the area due to an “intense situation,” and traffic was diverted for over an hour while authorities secured the scene.
The call was quickly traced, revealing it was made by an 11-year-old juvenile, turning out to be a hoax with no actual danger. Police identified the young suspect, took appropriate action, and questioned him, later giving the all-clear for the area to resume normal activity.
