THREE ARRESTED ON CHARGES AFTER TRAFFIC STOP
The Blount County Sheriff’s Office says three people were arrested yesterday (Friday, November 24, 2017) after a traffic stop. Officers say 34-year-old Kevin Michael Carr of Rockford, 27-year-old Stephanie Nicole Carr of Knoxville and 28-year-old Chaney Franklin Parks of Alcoa were in the vehicle when authorities pulled it over on traffic violations. A search of the vehicle reportedly revealed a firearm and methamphetamine. Kevin Carr was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Stephanie Carr was charged with maintaining a vehicle for controlled substance sales and/or use. Parks was charged with possession of a Scheduled I controlled substance (heroin) for resale in a drug free zone, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (methamphetamine) for resale in a drug free zone, and possession of a firearm during a dangerous felony.
