THREE ARRESTED ON PROSTITUTION CHARGES IN HARRIMAN

Several years ago, a raid on a massage parlor in Rockwood’s Walden’s Ridge shopping center (formerly known as Cottage Grove or College Plaza shopping center) resulted in the arrest of several individuals from Georgia on alleged prostitution charges.

Now, a similar incident has occurred nearby in Harriman. A massage parlor operating at the former Domino’s Pizza location on South Roane Street—across from Potter’s Ace Hardware—was shut down following a sting operation conducted last Friday afternoon.

According to Harriman Police Chief Baron Tapp, his department received tips about ongoing illegal activity at the establishment. With assistance from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), authorities launched an investigation and executed a raid around 2 p.m. that Friday.

As a result, three women were arrested over the weekend in connection with alleged prostitution operations. More details are expected to emerge, but officials have identified the suspects as Chun J. An, 85, charged with promoting prostitution; Sung Mi Jaros, 58, charged with prostitution and impersonation of a licensed professional; and Elysse Mae O’Connor, 70, charged with promoting prostitution and prostitution.

As with all criminal cases, the accused individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
