THREE CHARGED WITH ASSAULTING MAN AND ROBBING HIM OF CLOTHES AND WALLET
Three men have been charged with the assault and robbery of a man in Blount County earlier this week. Deputies, working with a Great Smoky Mountains National Park Ranger, were dispatched to Foothills Parkway Monday night where they discovered a bloody 35-year-old man sitting in the roadway wearing nothing but briefs. He told officers that he was traveling with four other men when the driver pulled over, began beating him, and stole his clothes, wallet and cell phone. He was then shoved down an embankment. 34-year-old Christopher Wade Carter, 34-year-old Tony Travis Carter and 37-year-old Jeremiah Andrew Stansbury are charged with especially aggravated robbery. Additional charges could be forthcoming.
