THREE CRASHES IN ROANE COUNTY LAST NIGHT

On Wednesday, Roane County reported multiple accidents. At around 10:00 AM, a two-car collision at the intersection of Rock Bridge Road and Highway 60, north of Harriman, resulted in one minor injury.
Later that afternoon, at approximately 5:30 PM, a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 40 Eastbound at Mile Marker 343 on Rockwood Mountain caused significant traffic delays. The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) reported that the right lane and shoulder of the two-lane eastbound side were blocked. One vehicle was on its side, requiring Rescue Squad members to extricate two victims from a car; injury details are unknown.
That evening, a two-car crash at the intersection of Highway 70 and Woody Lane reduced traffic to one lane during the response.
The number of injuries from this incident is also unknown.
