On June 27, 2025, at around 4:44 PM, Sergeant Dustin Jackson and Officer Breanna Freeman responded to a four-wheeler accident at Cold Springs Road in Cumberland County involving a three-year-old male, Bryer. At Woody’s General Store on US-127, they met the victim’s parents, Ashley and Tony Davis.

Bryer, in his mother’s lap, had a severe wound above his forehead and another on his right leg. He was transported to the hospital by EMS.

Tony Davis reported that his older son, driving a four-wheeler, swerved to avoid a pothole and collided head-on with Bryer.
