The Morgan County Emergency Management Agency said it will not receive financial support from the federal or state governments to rebuild following a recent tornado.

Officials say the damage caused by the EF-1 tornado in Sunbright did not meet the criteria.

Authorities recommend taking pictures of any weather-related damage before cleanup efforts and contacting their insurance company.

Morgan County leaders will hold a town hall meeting on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. to answer questions about the tornado and the damage it left in its wake. The meeting will be at the Sunbright Community Center, located at 120 Melton Drive.
