Traffic was tied up for several hours following a tractor-trailer accident on I-40 in eastern Cumberland County this morning. The crash took place around 4 a.m. when the driver lost control at the 334 eastbound mile marker and the vehicle landed on its side after crashing into cable barriers. One lane was blocked at the scene as crews worked to clear debris. A full accident report, including the name of the driver and his condition, will be released by the Tennessee Highway Patrol at a later time.
