TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO DRUG ARREST IN MONTEREY
On Saturday, May 18, 2026, at approximately 1:00 AM, Monterey Police conducted a traffic stop in Monterey, TN. During the investigation, the driver, Michael Lynn Vernon, consented to a search of his vehicle. Officers discovered 3.2 grams of suspected methamphetamine, leading to his arrest.
Vernon was transported to the Putnam County Jail, where he was booked in with a total bond set at $53,500. He faces two counts of Manufacture, Delivery, Sale or Possession of Methamphetamine, one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Driving on a Revoked/Suspended License.
