TEEN CRASHES CAR ON WOLF CREEK DRIVE IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY

According to a Crash Report by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, a property damage accident occurred on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 5:07 PM on Wolf Creek Drive in Cumberland County. Deputy Zachary Early of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office investigated the scene, noting that the crash took place on a one-lane gravel road with a 45 mph speed limit during clear, daylight conditions.

The single vehicle involved was a blue 2006 Toyota Highlander four-door sedan driven by a 17-year-old from Rockwood. While negotiating a right-hand curve heading north, the vehicle lost control on the sand, dirt, mud, and gravel surface. It ran off the left side of the roadway, struck an embankment (noted as the first harmful event), and subsequently collided with a standing tree on its right-center side, where it came to a final rest.

The impact caused front airbag deployment and disabling damage to the vehicle, requiring it to be towed from the scene. The driver was wearing a shoulder and lap belt, was not ejected or trapped, and appeared normal to the investigating officer, with no signs of alcohol or drug impairment.

The driver was transported by ambulance to CMC where they confirmed she had a chest contusion and fractured right foot. No medical transport was required, and no traffic violations were issued.
