TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO METH ARREST LEADS TO THEFT ARREST

On July 11, 2025, Officer Jacob Ogle observed a Honda Civic swerving on Stout Drive and conducted a traffic stop. The driver, Herbert Grice, appeared nervous and had a suspended license.
Grice did not consent to a vehicle search, so a K-9 unit was called, and the dog alerted to the vehicle. A search revealed 1.54 grams of methamphetamine.
The passenger, Angela Brookins, was linked to a theft of $701.72 worth of merchandise from Buc-ee’s, confirmed by surveillance footage. Grice was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and driving on a suspended license, while Brookins was arrested for theft.
Both were taken to Cumberland County Jail, and the stolen items were returned to Buc-ee’s. The methamphetamine was seized for testing.
