TRAFFIC STOP ON PLATEAU ROAD RESULTS IN RECOVERY OF STOLEN FIREARM AND ARREST
A deputy in Cumberland County stopped a motorist Saturday on Plateau Road near Wilson Road for a registration violation.
The officer spoke with the driver, 58-year-old Louie Dee Tarufelli of Jamestown, Tennessee.
A check revealed an outstanding warrant for child support.
During a search, the deputy allegedly found a small plastic bag containing a substance believed to be meth and a 9mm Taurus handgun reported stolen in Fentress County.
Tarufelli was arrested for theft of property.
