TRAFFIC STOP ON WESTEL ROAD RESULTS IN DRUG ARREST
A Cumberland County deputy pulled over a motorist Tuesday on the 2,400 block of Westel Road for failure to maintain a lane of travel.
The officer encountered the driver, 19-year-old James Harrison Schillinger of Rockwood.
Dispatch notified the deputy that Schillinger had an active warrant for violation of probation in Roane County.
A passenger with Schillinger, 49-year-old Linda Howard, had a local outstanding warrant. She was taken into custody by the deputy.
While being processed in the jail, a search of Schillinger allegedly revealed a small plastic bag containing 2.27 grams of a substance believed to be meth.
Schillinger was charged with the manufacture, sale, or delivery of meth and introducing contraband into a penal institution.
