TRAVELERS URGED TO TAKE CAUTION AHEAD OF FENTRESS COUNTY’S FITZGERALD TRUCK SHOW

The Fitzgerald Truck Show (also known as FP Truck Fest 5.0), a major diesel truck event described as one of the rowdiest in the country, is scheduled to take place in Fentress County—specifically around Jamestown, Tennessee—on March 13 and 14, 2026. Organizers and the Fentress County Sheriff’s Office anticipate a very large turnout, with visitors arriving from various locations, leading to significantly increased traffic on local roadways compared to normal conditions.
To promote safety and smooth flow, event routes and local traffic zones will be clearly marked with signage, and volunteers will assist with traffic direction. The Sheriff’s Office, Tennessee Highway Patrol, and additional deputies will be actively patrolling the area to manage traffic, enforce laws, and coordinate with emergency services including EMA, EMS, fire, and rescue teams.
Residents and travelers are urged to exercise caution, remain vigilant for heavier traffic, adhere to all posted signs, and watch for pedestrians and volunteers near the roads. The community is thanked in advance for its patience while welcoming attendees, with hopes for a safe and enjoyable weekend for all involved.
