TRIAL DATE DELAYED BECAUSE OF CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK FOR CUMBERLAND COUNTY DOUBLE MURDER SUSPECT

Yesterday, the Tennessee Supreme Court issued a ruling calling for all in-person court appearances and trials to be delayed until April 30, 2020.

That means a trial set for April 14, 2020 for a Cumberland County man charged with double first-degree murder will be reset for a later date.

Authorities say 75-year-old Warren John Nostrom is accused of fatally shooting 58-year-old Joy Nostrom and 54-year-old Mark Gunter in the parking lot of the Cumberland County school bus garage in September 2018. Warren Nostrom then reportedly tried to shoot himself in the head but recovered.

District Attorney General Bryant Dunaway told 105.7 News this morning the trial for Warren Nostrom will be reset once the courts return to normal operations.
