A trial date was scheduled today in Cumberland County Criminal Court for a man charged with offenses including first-degree murder.

The case involves 59-year-old Tony Charles Davenport.

Officers say he shot three people at a residence on Grouse Court in Fairfield Glade in March 2022.

Court documents state Davenport fired several rounds through the front door of the home. The bullets hit Jacob Lewis, Florence Easterly, and Corey Hillsman.

Lewis was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Easterly and Hillsman were flown to U.T. Medical Center for treatment.

In court today (Friday, March 8, 2024), the judge set the trial of Davenport to start on April 9, 2024.
