TRIAL DATE SET FOR FORMER ROANE CO. ATTORNEY CHARGED WITH SEX CRIME

A disbarred attorney from Harriman is set to stand trial for sex crimes soon. Court officials say 64-year-old Kent Booher faces one count of enticement and one count of felony sexual offense against a minor while on a sex offender registry. Booher has plead not guilty. His trial is set to start November 25, 2019. He is currently being held in the Knox County jail. The Tennessee Supreme Court disbarred Booher after he pleaded guilty on two counts of statutory rape in Loudon County in 2014.

In March of this year, Booher was arrested again for violating the sexual offender registry and solicitation of aggravated statutory rape. Those two charges are still in the court system.

Just two days after that arrest, 59-year-old Linda Flanagan of Rockwood was arrested for shooting at Booher. He was not hurt and Flanagan is serving a 90 day sentence in the Roane County jail for the incident.
