A trial date has been set by Morgan County Criminal Court Judge Jeff Wicks for October 16, 2018 for two charged with the death of a baby. Officials say Levi Beaty was 17-months-old when he died on June 1, 2014 under circumstances that led to a grand jury indictment against the mother, Amanda Beaty, and her boyfriend, Rodger Dale Prince. Both are charged with murder. Getting the case to the point of the trial announcement has been difficult because of the number of changes in defense counsel for Prince. Judge Wicks also set a plea deadline of September 25, 2018 in the case.
