TRIPLE DOSE OF DUI
Yesterday, just a little after midnight, Crossville City Police were dispatched to Walmart to investigate a possibly intoxicated male in the parking lot.
Sergeant Crystal Massey made contact and identified David Cobb who became immediately argumentative and attempted to walk off and not listen to demands. Sergeant Massey observed Cobb having an alcoholic odor about him, slurred speech, and being unsteady on his feet.
Cobb was deemed to be a danger to himself as well as the General public. He was arrested and transported to the Cumberland County Justice Center where he was charged with public intoxication.

On Saturday, Crossville Police units were dispatched to the area of the bowling alley on Highway 70 East for a man stumbling in and out of traffic.
Officer Justin Farmer made contact with the man and identified him as Joshua Dewayne Smith. Upon speaking with him, Smith was observed to be unsteady on his feet and swaying toward the road. The officer had to ask him multiple times to step away from the road and, upon approach, the officer was able to smell an alcoholic odor coming off of him.
Smith said he had possibly four or more drinks. While attempting to take his shoe off and put it back on he almost fell multiple times. For the sake of his safety and the safety of others, he was placed under arrest for public intoxication and transported to the Justice Center.

On October 29th at approximately 5:18 p.m., Lieutenant Dustin Lester of the Crossville Police Department responded to Chan’s Body Shop about an individual by the name of Donnie Rector possibly being intoxicated.
He was found at the business sitting in a blue Ford Flex. Upon the officer’s arrival, Rector was found to be sleeping after having just arrived shortly before the call came in.
As the officer approached, Rector was woken up by the officers radio. Rector was asked what he had taken, and he admitted to taking five Xanax and drinking a beer. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Justice Center for his safety and the safety of the public.
